We are very  pleased that  you are looking at our web page.    Our divsion is one of 88 in the California Retired Teachers Association (CalRTA). There are over 50,000 members in CalRTA; with over 1000 in  our San Mateo County Divsion 22.   Our core purpose is to protect and enhance the benefits of retired educators by supporting CalRTA in all its endeavors.  

We place great value in updating you about
political issues that effect  retired teachers, monitoring and protecting the STRS Pension Fund, providing assistance to our fellow retirees, and volunteering.  
Each member receives a bi-monthly State CalRTA Contact magazine and a bi-monthly Division 22 SMCRTA Reminder, which is our local newsletter.

General Meetings
Our general meeings are held on a  Monday in the months of February, March, May, September, October and November at the CTA Building, 1705 Murchison Drive in Burlingame. Our Board meets at 11:15 a.m. before the general meeting. The meeting luncheon begins at 1:15 p.m. followed by the general  meeting  at 1:50  p.m. At 2:15 p.m. our entertainment program begins, either musical or informative, and we are finished at 3:00 p.m. There are no general meetings in January, July and August.

You are welcome to attend any of our gneral
meetings and luncheons. Even better, please become a member of our fine organization.

Scholarship Luncheon: June 14, 2010

The April Legislative Breakfast and the June Scholarship Luncheon meetings are held at a local restaurant. The cost, reservation form and location of these will be announced a few weeks ahead of time in our Reminder newsletter.
